Since we first published this review, Federal health authorities are warning parents not to give babies apple-flavored Baby's Bliss Gripe Water because several bottles tested positive for a parasite that may have a sickened a 6-week-old infant. The Food and Drug Administration confirmed the presence of a parasite that can cause diarrhea and intestinal infections called Cryptosporidium. The tainted bottles are coded 26952V and have an expiration date of October 2008. Symptoms of Cryptosporidium include diarrhea, dehydration, weight loss, stomach cramps, pain, fever, nausea and vomiting. You can find the full release here.
