Warning Issued on Baby's Bliss Gripe Water PDF Print E-mail

Federal health authorities are warning parents not to give babies apple-flavored Baby's Bliss Gripe Water because several bottles tested positive for a parasite.  The Food and Drug Administration has confirmed the presence of a parasite that can cause diarrhea and intestinal infections called Cryptosporidium. The tainted bottles are coded 26952V and have an expiration date of October 2008.  Symptoms of Cryptosporidium include diarrhea, dehydration, weight loss, stomach cramps, pain, fever, nausea and vomiting.
