Flash Heating Technique May Kill HIV Particles in Breast Milk PDF Print E-mail

Researchers from the University of California report that a flash-heating technique may kill HIV particles in breast milk, allowing HIV-positive mothers to breast feed their infants and children.  Researchers however express caution regarding the heating protocols for the breastmilk. Additional field tests and research need to be conducted to better understand the heating process and ensure that HIV destroyed.
