Remember usually babies less than two years old can sit in your lap, but are safer in their own car seat. Consider purchasing a baby carrier-such as a sling, wrap, pouch ect. Wearing your baby may help soothe him and help him sleep. Please practice baby wearing before your trip and be well acquainted with using your specific carrier. Many wraps have a long piece of material that can also be used as a cover for nursing in public. Bring a stroller and keep your stroller while you are walking thorough the airport ect. Thos stroller gives you mobility to move fast and help carry many of your belongings. If your flight is delayed your baby also has a clean place to sit nap. Keep your stroller if possible until boarding, and then check it just before you step on the plane. Pack several changes of clothes, and one set of extra clothes for yourself as well. Bring baby-wipes and antibacterial wipes to clean up messes and hands Pack large Ziploc bags that can be used to store dirty clothing and diapers. Consider purchasing a nursing cover, shawl, or apron for discreet breastfeeding in public. A cover may enable you feel more comfortable nursing the baby on demand in crowed seating areas.
